Here’s just a few of the estimates from Oregon’s Legislative Revenue Office if they were to legalize recreational weed this November: About 8% of the population, or ~322k Oregonians, would purchase from retail shops. The initial price for an ounce is estimated at $330 and would generate $17.5-$25.9 million in taxes the first year, with $3.73 million going to the common school fund.
