Minnesota Senate Passes Medical Pot Legislation

By a vote of 48-18, senators approved the legislation that would make Minnesota the first state to prohibit patients from smoking marijuana to ease their symptoms. Twenty-one other states, and the District of Columbia, have legalized medical marijuana, but none has such a restriction.
