The state’s Department of Public Health proposed rules to require Massachusetts dispensaries to have $500,000 in escrow to be granted a license, and they want those prospective dispensaries to be able to open within 120 days of receiving their license. This combination could require dispensaries to have something like $1,000,000 to open a non-profit business.
So it looks like a little political cronyism going on, as no one will be able to get a loan from a bank/ loaning institution fro a Medical Cannabis dispensary, so you either have to have a million plus sitting around, or the venture capital boys and girls will be the ones to get all 35 dispensary permits.
How "clever" of them…insuring that only people interested in money, rather than healing, run things. Hope Mass. doesn't go down the same road as NJ!
