California Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom said last Friday, “It’s shocking, from my perspective, the number of people that we all know who are recreational marijuana users. These are incredibly upstanding citizens: Leaders in our community, and exceptional people… These laws just don’t make sense anymore, it’s time for politicians to come out of the closet on this.”

I wonder if Mr. Newsom would be willing to admit that he is a recreational marijuana user? It's so true that I know many very savvy, successful business people that use marijuana regularly in SF. Not so when I lived in NYC, there's a much different perception of cannabis on the east coast.
