A 17-year-old Japanese boy was sentenced to six months in prison Thursday for possessing a small amount of marijuana while vacationing with family on Indonesia’s resort island of Bali.
It could be worse. In some countries you get stoned to death for wearing the wrong clothes, and in some countries you get life in prison for being a journalist. And in America you get your entire life ruined for a tiny amount of pot. So in the scheme of things, 6 months in a foreign country isn't that bad. At least it could be worse.
