Luis Toro of Colorado Ethics Watch has filed a complaint against No Over Taxation, the Colorado anti-marijuana-tax group that has been giving out free joints. “Voters deserve to know who is providing this campaign with marijuana and office space.”
If the tax stays at 30+% a large amount of people will continue to buy from the Black Market rather than at tax paying stores.
Its approximately $7 tax on a $25 1/8th. If people buy from the Black Market to evade the tax the local authorities wont have the funds to regulate the existing marijuana industry. Then the state will say the tax wasn't enough. We have to come to terms at an equal affordable rate.
