Michael Hancock, Denver’s mayor, is urging the city council to adopt a two-year marijuana moratorium on recreational sales. Hancock has also pushed for banning private marijuana clubs in the city, and clearly doesn’t care that the majority of Denver residents voted in favor of Amendment 64.
I don't get it…Aren't our ELECTED officials supposed to follow the will of the people? They voted, that's our right. Now follow through, period.
Next step, vote this guy out of office. Tell your elected officials that this is important to you. (actually the real next step is for all of us to tell our elected officials to remove cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act… thank you Mr. Nixon)
