Connecticut Low Level Marijuana Possession Arrests Drop by 76 Percent Post-Decriminalization Law

WTNH 8 News reports that Connecticut low level marijuana possession arrests dropped by 76.5% after its decriminalization law for less than 0.5 ounces was passed in July 2011. It’s very interesting that arrests have dropped this significantly since the lowest level misdemeanor is still less than 4 oz (minimum is now 0.5 vs 0.0 oz). Are cops not frisking as much anymore due to this law or are Connecticuters just all carrying 0.5 oz or less.
