Boulder City Council Comes to Its Senses on Marijuana Tax

Boulder’s city council voted down a proposed additional 10% sales tax, because the city will receive funds from the state marijuana tax. A proposed 15% excise tax was modified to a 5% excise tax and then passed. The excise tax will be put before voters in November, along with the proposed state taxes (10% sales tax, 15% excise tax).
