For those folks who must know how it works, here is a biology geek deep-dive into the endogenous cannabinoid system from Cannabis Science video magazine. According to the video, "The endocannabinoid system helps to regulate the central control of energy balance and peripherial metabolic processes" (say that three times fast). Science has shown that the endocannabinoids system influences energy intake, nutrient transport, metabolism and storage.
