I have to say immediately that the branding in the title is what initially caught my eye. I am an avid gamer, I knew the Big Buck franchise and culture, but at the same time it wasn’t really my thing. I don’t mind shooting games, but historically I have always been the rail shooter type, ya know Area 51 or Time Crisis. Anyway, on this night I was well toasted on some OG Chemdawg and at Shorty’s, a retro pinball arcade and Seattle landmark. It was here I discovered my latest gaming obsession.
The attractive game cabinet and superb 1080P display caught my attention but I succumbed to temptation when I saw the cabinet’s dedicated credit card reader! A closer inspection revealed that not only did this machine take plastic directly, it also had its own customer loyalty program. Really?! I immediately pulled my Visa out and gave shooting these god forsaken deer one last shot, pun intended.
To quote the game, “Wooooohoooo!”, I don’t know if it was the dank or the high def graphics, but this was not the same game. I am proud to report that my friends and I not only spent $50 on the game, we all registered for Big Buck Cards. Did I mention that it is online?
Yep, nationwide online gaming from a bar and with a matching social media profile. I had no idea there was a hunter in me, but Big Buck certainly brought it out. I was amazed to discover waging to boot, in one format each gamer can “ante up a buck” so to speak, and the cash is paid back to the round winners Big Buck Card. AWESOME!
Any hunter or arcade shooter fan should drop everything immediately, dab out and get bucked up.
