We have been meaning to catch the High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam for years, but since the timing is typically right around Thanksgiving, we have never had the chance to go. This year we will be traveling 20 miles from San Francisco to sunny-ish Richmond, California to attend the High Times “San Francisco” Medical Cannabis Cup ($40 at the door).
I do find it odd that the Bay Area event is marketed as being in “San Francisco” given that it is occurring across the Bay in Richmond, CA. Why not “Bay Area”, where’s the love for our East Bay friends? If you plan on taking public transportation (which we highly suggest so that you can fully enjoy the show), the Craneway Pavilion location is a bit of a walk from the Richmond BART stop (Bay Area Rapid Transit), there’s also a bus and I’m sure cabs are an option. BART is a great option especially because of the “outdoor Prop 215 section of the expo facility” which “will accommodate the needs of California medical marijuana patients.” Now that’s my kind of celebration!
