Swiss Perc, what’s a Swiss Perc? Well it’s short for “Swiss Cheese Peculator”. Take a look at the bongs and the name immediately makes sense. For a bong, it’s all about the bubbles, the Swiss Perc is an elegant glass design which does a fantastic job making a nice thick milkshake, while making a very strong design statement.
Swiss Perc Details
I don’t know the origins of the Swiss Perc, but I do know that one glass artist that we’ve featured in the past seems to have a love affair with the shape. Nate Dizzle took it to the next level with his Guitar Bong that we profiled a while back. The Swiss Perc is such a beautiful design standing still, but the design is even more engaging when it’s being used. I’m not sure how easy it would be to clean, so I guess the lesson there is keep changing your water!
The glass blowing process of creating a Swiss Perc basically amounts to blowing a hole through a sandwich of glass and then making sure the hole is sealed all the way around. Nothing trivial, that step of the bong making process is an art form itself.
Nate Dizzle Swiss Perc in Action
The Swiss Perc is actually very cool to watch in action. Here’s a video demonstrating one of Nate Dizzle’s bongs.
